Grounded in a deep-seated commitment to the lasting valueTHE RULES: March 16 -17th 2012 of liberal arts education for 21st century undergraduates, the University College Drama Program offers students broad, diverse, well-integrated and intercultural opportunities for intellectual, social and creative growth. Our curriculum is challenging on academic, artistic and technical levels, ensuring students develop critical learning skills, a strong sense of intellectual and artistic independence as well as enhanced personal self-discipline and responsibility.

The Program fulfills this mandate by:
•    Mounting discrete series of courses on the historical, theoretical and practical aspects of drama, theatre and performance
•    Integrating academic and practical dimensions of study in each course
•    Involving undergraduates in the planning and execution of Program activities
•    Introducing students to the demands and expectations of a professional theatre career
•    Fostering a learning environment that ensures individual growth as well as shared responsibility for the development of others.

Every year, UC Drama attracts large numbers of undergraduate students who are passionate about theatre. As a group, they care deeply about culture and the arts in Canada and the world, and evidence sustained commitment to developing their own intellectual and practical strengths.
