Over the past decade, Attempts On Her Life has been translated into 20 languages and widely performed on stages throughout Europe. In its Canadian premiere, five anonymous performers construct and destroy the life of a woman known only as “Anne, Anna, Anushka …” Is she “a pornographic movie star, a killer or a brand of car”… or is she only a screen for the projection of their deepest fears and darkest fantasies? This multi-media staging blurs the line between the digital and the physical, challenging perceptions of simulation and reality. What do you buy into?
