UTSU Award for Outstanding Academic Union

The Health Studies Students' Union has received the UTSU Clubs Leadership Award for Outstanding Acadmic Union 2011-2012! This distinction is awarded to the academic union that best engages its member students in social and academic activities.

About Us

The Health Studies Student Union is an organization entirely run and operated by students, which runs alongside University Colleges’s Health Studies program. It has been a small organization for several years, but is currently working to expand into a much more active and recognized group. The objective of the organization is to create both social and academic opportunities for Health Studies students to meet each other outside of the classroom environment. The Union hopes to facilitate an open environment in which students can participate in an ongoing dialogue about the socioeconomic, political, cultural and biomedical determinants of health and healthcare systems.
