Drama Alumna Laura Nanni Honoured with Inaugural Push Forward Award

Congratulations to Laura Nanni, who was recognized with the Centre for Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies' inaugural Push Forward Award for achievement in theatre/performance art, history, theory, administration, and teaching. 

Nanni is an alumna of the undergraduate drama program and was recently appointed Artistic and Managing Director of the SummerWorks Performance Festival, Canada's largest curated performance festival of theatre, dance, music, and live art. She is also the ongoing Co-Producer for The Basement Revue, a multi-disciplinary cabaret co-curated and hosted by Jason Collett and Damian Rogers. Other recent roles include Program Supervisor and Exhibition Manager for Nuit Blanche Toronto; Producer for the Luminato Festival, and four seasons as Rhubarb Festival Director for Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. From 2008 to 2010, she was Curator and Programme Coordinator for HATCH residency and mentorship program at the Harbourfront Centre, Artistic Associate for World Stage, and Producer of The Culture Congress, an annual arts and culture forum.
