LGBT Business and Policy Leaders Feted at Bonham Centre Awards Gala

Friends of the Mark S. Bonham Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies at University College gathered at Hart House on the evening of April 13, 2016 for the fourth annual Bonham Centre Awards Gala. The room was abuzz as more than 230 students, alumni, donors, and faculty mingled with the award winners over hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.

Celebrated for their contributions as LGBT business and policy leaders were Selisse Berry, founder and CEO of Out & Equal Workplace Advocates; Heather Conway, Executive Vice-President, CBC English Language Services; and Col. Jennifer Pritzker, founder of the Tawani Foundation and President of Tawani Enterprises, Inc.

Presiding over the evening was master of ceremonies Brenda Cossman, a Professor in the Faculty of Law and Director of the Mark S. Bonham Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies.

Guests were thrilled by the surprise announcement of a $60,000 gift towards a new trans studies course from honouree Jennifer Priztker, who received a standing ovation.
