Leadership Awards
In memory of  Flt/Lt. S.A. Marshall (UC 1948) who gave his life in the service of Canada on May 19, 1956. The bursary of the value of the annual income is awarded to a student entering their graduating year, requiring financial assistance, who has in previous years obtained high academic standing and has been active in student affairs. Approximate value is $400.

Mark S. Bonham Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies
These awards are open to all undergraduate students who are enrolled in a specialist or major program in Sexual Diversity Studies and who can demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated leadership in or commitment to LGBTQ advocacy. Additional preference for Black students and/or those doing work to reduce Anti-Black Racism. Applications for these awards must be submitted to the Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies. The Director of the Centre will then recommend possible recipients for the awards to the University College Registrar.

The Christine Elmslie Scholarship is intended to support students graduating from University College who are preparing for a career in the international field whose linguistic competence will allow them to pursue such a career. Travel Awards

Mark S. Bonham Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies
Two scholarships will be awarded annually on the basis of academic merit; the first to a student with the most distinguished overall academic performance, who is completing his or her graduating year with a Specialist program in Sexual Diversity Studies; the second to an undergraduate completing either a Specialist or a Major in Sexual Diversity Studies combined with an academic interest in the study of politics (through a degree in a politically-relevant program, such as Political Science, Peace and Conflict Studies, International Relations or Equity Studies), or a demonstrated commitment to social justice. Leadership Awards
This award assists in covering the costs of living in the University College residences for one year for a worthy student in third or fourth year of his or her UC undergraduate program. Relevant criteria will be contributions to college life in UC, academic accomplishment and financial need as specified by the OSOTF program. As required by the OSOTF program, financial need will be the primary criterion. The recipient will be expected to live in the UC residence, show leadership in the community and act as a mentor for younger students.

These awards have been established to recognize the importance of student volunteer and leadership contributions to University College. Eligible students must be registered and in good academic standing at University College and be involved in the UC community in unpaid leadership roles during the current academic session (other involvement at the University of Toronto or in the broader Toronto community may also be considered). In recognition of the fact that students who are involved in volunteer and leadership opportunities may not be able to earn as much income during the academic year, financial need will also be considered. Awards will vary in number and value. Both returning and graduating students will be considered.

Travel Awards

Travel Awards
The gift of Elizabeth Brown (UC 1928) to perpetuate her contribution to Canada's role in less-favoured regions of the world.  Miss Brown served with the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration in Palestine, the International Refugee Organization in West Germany and the Foster Parents Plan in Vietnam and Australia. The fund assists undergraduate and graduate students to travel beyond North America in connection with their studies or future career plans, preferably in relation to Peace and Conflict Studies.  Grants are variable, according to available funds and need.

Graduating Year Awards
The Grant H. Ferguson Scholarship was established in honour of Grant H. Ferguson, BA (UC 1949), QC, upon the occasion of his retirement as mining and lands commissioner in the Ministry of Natural Resources. In making the award, preference will be given to a student going on to study law with the intent to specialize, ultimately, in the field of natural resources. If no such student is available, the scholarship may be awarded to a student graduating from a program of courses including geology, botany, zoology, or environmental studies.

The Kiyoshi and Hana Shimizu Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Kiyoshi and Hana Shimizu by their son Tsutomu (UC 1951). This award is intended to support a student graduating from University College and going on to further study, who intends to make teaching his or her lifetime career. Preference will be given to those going on to primary- or secondary-school teaching, but post-secondary teaching will also be eligible. The award will be made on the basis of academic merit and dedication to the teaching profession. Financial circumstances may also be considered, but will not have priority.

The Sally Croll Award for French Study Abroad is a travelling award established by the daughters and friends of Mrs. Sally Croll to honour her lifelong interest in French. Awards will be made on the basis of financial need demonstrated through the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) or on the basis of information provided by an individual on the award application. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) students from all U of T campuses, faculties, colleges and programs will be eligible, with no preference given to those enrolled in the Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies programs or courses. These awards were established by the collection of a $3 levy from University College students from September 2005 to September 2010.
