If you need help finding a book or article, you are welcome to drop by the circulation desk at the University College Library, where our friendly student library assistants would be happy to help you.
If you're doing more complicated research, or you need more in-depth help, you have several options:
- At some of the larger U of T libraries, there's a reference desk where you can drop by to get research help. You can drop by the Robarts Library reference desk for research help in the humanities and social sciences, and the Gerstein Science Information Centre has a similar desk for the sciences.
- Help is also available via e-mail, phone, and chat.
If you're not in a hurry, and you'd like help with your research (e.g., learning how to search for electronic and print resources on your topic):
- Feel free to contact the University College Librarian to make an appointment for a research consultation: 416-978-4634, firstname.lastname@example.org). (For UC students, faculty, alumni, or staff, or students enrolled in a UC course.)
- A number of other U of T libraries, including Robarts and Gerstein, offer research consultations by appointment.
