Occupancy Fees are the sum total of the Room Fee, Meal Plan Fee, and Residence Council Fee. The total Occupancy Fee for 2017-18 depends on the student's assigned room type and chosen meal plan and can range between $12,096 and $13,786.
2017-18 Occupancy Fees - Domestic and International
|Room Type and Building||Fee|
|Single Room - Morrison Hall||$8,882|
|Single Room - Whitney Hall or Sir Daniel Wilson Residence||$8,372 - $7,766|
|Double Room - Whitney Hall or Sir Daniel Wilson Residence||$7,766|
|Meal Plan Type*||Fee|
|Meal Plan A||$4,889|
|Meal Plan B||$4,315|
|UC Residence Council Fee||$15|
*There is no functional difference between Meal Plan A and B. Both meal plans allow you to purchase the exact same items and both operate on a declining balance system. The plan you select simply determines how much money you are committing to spend at our Dining Hall or Cafe throughout the year.
Making a fee payment
Occupancy Fees, and any additional fees you accrue while staying in Residence, are posted on the Repository of Student Information (or ROSI). Payments can be made at any Canadian financial institution, either in person or online. Your account number and student number, both of which are located on the top-right corner of your ROSI Account Invoice, are needed to ensure the payment is credited to your account. We regret that the Office of the Dean of Students at UC and Office of Student Accounts cannot process residence fee payments in person. Occupancy fees are to be paid in the following installments:
|Amount||Payment deadlines for Non-OSAP deferred students||Payment deadlines for OSAP deferred students|
|Residence Deposit||$600.00||At the time of offer||At the time of offer|
|Fall Occupancy Fees||50% of Occupancy Fees minus $600||August 30, 2017||September 30, 2017|
|Winter Occupancy Fees||Remaining 50% of Occupancy Fees||November 30, 2017||January 31, 2017|
Please note that both installments will be posted to your ROSI account in August. For more detailed instructions on how to make a payment from within or outside Canada, please visit the Student Accounts website.
