UC Celebrates Earth Day 2021

Today, University College (UC) joins communities around the world advocating for a habitable planet on Earth Day.

UC has committed to making sustainability one of our institutional priorities. We have pledged to enhance sustainability-related scholarship opportunities, to provide funds for sustainability-related student projects, and to make our spaces more environmentally sound. In doing so, we aim to champion sustainable citizenship and encourage UC students to develop their curiosity about and stewardship for our planet. We also recognize the tremendously valuable knowledge that exists within Indigenous worldviews, which emphasize harmonious relationships between people and the natural world. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating Earth Day, which reminds us of living and working more sustainably year-round, and of exemplifying care and respect for one another and for future generations.
