UC Students Win Ontario Heritage Trust Award for Project Exploring Toronto's Architectural History

UC in the News

Congratulations to UC faculty member Siobhan O’Flynn and students in her third-year Canadian Studies course, Digital Media, Digital Markers, who were honoured with the Lieutenant Governor’s Ontario Heritage Award for Youth Achievement for their digital mapping project, Hidden Histories: Labour to Lofts. The award recognizes exceptional contributions to cultural and natural heritage conservation.

As part of the project, students performed archival research to reconstruct the stories of industrial buildings in Toronto, many of which have now been converted in to residential lofts. Read more about the project in Arts & Science News.
