The Canadian Studies Student Union is a focal point for social as well as academic pursuits. This student run organization organizes regular pub nights, talks by visiting speakers, student debates, and social events to help support local charities.
The Canadian Studies program publishes a journal, ImagiNATIONs, which is produced by and for undergraduate students. See your name in print! Make your voice heard!
Each year the Canadian Studies program organizes an undergraduate student conference. This student-run conference provides students the opportunity to showcase the research that they have undertaken on Canadian issues.
Canadian Studies students also participate in the Women in House program which aims to promote greater female representation in the government by inviting female students to shadow the lives of female Canadian politicians for a full day in Ottawa. It involves a fully-subsidized, two-day trip to Ottawa to directly witness the political procedures, learn about gender equity, and engage in mentorship and networking with Canadian political leaders.
