The University College Mentorship Hub is one of the many ways UC helps students connect.  If you're an incoming student trying to find out more about UC, a current student looking for a peer or alumni support, or you're interested in being a mentor this is the page for you.  Read below for more information about the programs offered at UC and remember to check periodically to find out more about upcoming opportunities.

E-Mentorship Program

Do you remember the questions, excitement and fears you had the summer before you began your journey at University College?

The UC E-Mentorship Program connects current UC students with incoming first year students prior to their arrival.  We are currently accepting applications for E-Mentors to support this year's incoming students prepare for their first year at UC.  As an e-mentor, you will provide a valuable personal connection for a new student,  information about upcoming events, answer questions, provide referrals to campus resources, and assist in their transition to university. E-Mentors will also facilitate online communities for incoming students to meet other new students for support and prepare for their first days at UC.

Career Perspectives: "Speed Mentoring" Events

Career Perspectives is a unique opportunity for UC students to ask UC alumni in a specific field about their pathways from university to finding success in their field. This "Speed Mentorship" event will connect UC students with UC alumni for an evening to exchange personal insights, information and build networks to explore your next steps. 
The UC Career Mentorship Program is a joint venture of the UC Advancement Office, the University College Student Life Office and the University College Literary & Athletic Society.

UC Career Mentorship Program

The UC Career Mentorship Program provides you with tools and connections to support your career. All 3rd and 4th year UC students, or students in a UC program, can apply to build knowledge and confidence with a UC alumni mentor in your field and new skills to succeed after graduation. 

Features of the Program:

  • At least 4 one-on-0ne meetings with your alumni mentor
  • Learn how to network with alumni and professionals
  • Meet with a Career Educator to develop a post-graduation plan
  • Attend valuable receptions and workshops

UC and Me - Student Peer Mentorship

The UC and ME Mentorship Program is an opportunity for University College students to connect through a group mentorship setting.  The program provides opportunities to create community across years of study and look into the academic, engagement, and health related skills that current student leaders have used to succeed during their undergraduate career.  This program is now being facilitated through the UConnect Leadership Conference.
