The Faculty of Arts & Science and the UC Registrar's Office offer resources and information sessions to help you choose and enrol in your courses for first year.

Course Selection Tools: Calendar, Timetable, and Degree Explorer

The Academic Calendar provides information about your degree requirements, program requirements, and Faculty rules and regulations. You can use the Calendar to search for first year course requirements for every program offered in the Faculty of Arts & Science.

Summer Welcome Sessions

Our Welcome Sessions in June include an overview of the course selection and course enrolment process.

Course Selection Workshops

Course selection workshops are offered in July. They are presented in person by the UC Registrar’s Office and allow students a hands-on approach to selecting their first-year courses.

The workshops are typically two hours in length. Registration is not required for the workshops – just show up!

It is recommended students bring a laptop to the session and prepare by reading through the guide to planning your studies in first year. 

Material covered in this guide includes: program information on required first-year courses, calendar information that provides all the courses and requirements needed in the Faculty of Arts & Science and timetable information that gives you detailed information about course offerings and course-specific instructions.

Online Course Selection Chats

Online Course Selection Chats are offered in July and are ideal for first-year international students or those first-year students who may live outside of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and are unable to attend a Welcome Session or Course Selection Workshop in person. 

Chats are done through an online chat platform where you will be able to ask questions related to course enrolment. Prepare by reading through the guide to planning your studies in first yearRegistration is required (see below).

Tuesday, July 16 | 10 am - 11 am
