Be sure to accept your offer of admission by the deadline indicated on www.join.utoronto.ca.
Apply for Residence or Explore Housing Options
If you have not done so already, be sure to indicate your interest on the University's Residence Application Portal by March 31.
The Office of the Dean of Students will send you an email with instructions on how to accept your residence offer.
If you plan on living off-campus, Housing Services can provide information about finding off-campus housing.
Attend a Summer Welcome Session
If you will be in Toronto in June, register for one of our Welcome Sessions. These sessions will provide you with an opportunity meet your fellow UC students, offer you a chance to tour our college and residence spaces, and provide you with information about course enrolment and registration.
Plan Your Courses & Finances
The Faculty of Arts & Science provides a Guide to Planning Your First Year to help you prepare for September. This guide will help you choose your courses, plan your finances, and prepare for your arrival in September.
The UC Registrar’s Office also offers a variety of course selection workshops and online chat sessions for extra help choosing and enrolling in your courses.
Next Steps for International Students
The Centre for International Experience (CIE) provides you with pre-arrival information that will help you organize and prepare for your arrival.

International Students’ Lunch
The UC Registrar’s Office also invites our first-year international students to an informative lunch in September. This is a great opportunity to meet and talk with other new and upper-year UC international students, staff and international student advisors. More information will be sent to you by email.

Sign Up for Orientation
University College offers a variety of orientation programsfor first-year students, each requiring a different level of commitment. Register for the full six-day orientation, the two-day academic-focused orientation or just stop by for UC Day – it’s up to you.
Get Your TCard and Activate your UTMail+ Account
Starting April 1, newly admitted students can obtain their TCard (your U of T Student ID Card) at the TCard Office on campus. Don’t forget to bring documentation validating your identity and legal status in Canada.
Once you pick up your TCard, you’ll be given instructions on how to activate your UTMail+ (your official U of T email account).
Most students obtain their TCard in August/September after arriving on campus, so don’t worry if you aren’t able to pick yours up over the summer!

Attend UC Day in September
This is your college orientation ceremony that will take place during the first week of September. This year's event takes place on September 8, 2020 at 10 am in Convocation Hall.
On UC Day, you'll hear from the Principal, Registrar, Dean of Students and student leaders about UC’s history and opportunities at the college. The ceremony will be followed by an academic orientation, lunch, and a UC Clubs Fair.
If you are already attending the full week Orientation or the ‘Thrive at UC’ orientation, you'll find UC Day on your schedule. If you are not attending an orientation and want to join in, please check in at the UC Registrar’s Office (Room 157) by 9:30am on the day of the event.
