Next Steps for New Students

  • Accept Your Offer

Be sure to accept your offer of admission by the deadline indicated on www.join.utoronto.ca.

  • Apply for Residence or Explore Housing Options

If you have not done so already, be sure to indicate your interest on the University's Residence Application Portal by March 31.

The Office of the Dean of Students will send you an email with instructions on how to accept your residence offer. To learn more about residence at UC, visit the Residence page on our website.

If you plan on living off-campus, Housing Services can provide information about finding off-campus housing.

  • Connect to UC 101

UC 101: Your New Student Guide is a virtual space that gives you a chance to learn about your new UC community and participate in the planning process for your first year.

On UC 101, we host live chats with academic advisors on focused topics like academic planning, course selection and enrolment, fees and finances, and other information you’ll need to settle in for what will no doubt be a memorable first year.

As a member of the incoming class at UC you are automatically enrolled in UC 101 in early June. We will email you to let you know that you have been enrolled.  You will then be able to log in to UC 101 on Quercus at q.utoronto.ca

  • Plan Your Courses & Finances

Be sure to log in to UC 101 on Quercus starting in June for specialized advice and guidance for planning your first year.  We will email you in early June to let you know you have been enrolled in UC 101 and that you can log in. We also hold Q&A sessions throughout the summer to address your questions about course enrolment, finances, and more.  The schedule for the Q&A sessions is posted on UC 101.

In addition to UC 101, the Faculty of Arts & Science provides a Guide to Planning Your First Year to help you get ready for September. This guide will help you navigate your course selection resources, plan your finances, and prepare for your arrival in September.
