English Language Learning Winter Activities

During the fall term, students at UC may partipate in two special activities designed to help students whose first language isn't English, as well as native speakers seeking to improve their English language skills:

1. *FREE* quality English language instruction with the ELL Program starts again in Winter 2020!  The *NEW* Communication Cafe topics range from the history of abstract photography to how to network with people at parties (starting January 6, 2020—no registration needed).  Sessions are taught by ELL professors and writing centre instructors. 
2. Register NOW for Reading eWriting, online writing practice with a writing centre instructor (starting January 10, 2020).  Use your course readings or popular reading as the basis for becoming a more effective communicator.
