Simon Lewsen

Simon Lewsen holds a BA and MA in English from McGill. His essays and articles have appeared in the Globe and Mail, the Walrus, Maclean's, Toronto Life, the Atlantic, Foreign Policy, MIT Technology Review, and the Year's Best Sports Writing anthology for 2026. He is the winner of the 2026 National Magazine Award for Profile Writing, and he is a frequent guest on US and Canadian podcasts, including CBC's Front Burner and KERA / NPR's Think. Simon served as acting director of the Writing Centre in 2024-25.
