Ann Shepard Memorial Scholarships

Bequest of the late Mrs. Helen Shepard in memory of her daughter, Ann, a student of Parkdale Collegiate who died in 1928 before entering university. The value of each award is $700 and is awarded for general proficiency, including biology. Preference may be given to candidates intending to specialize in the biological field.

Gift of the late Arthur Cohen (UC 1903). The value is approximately $500 plus the tuition allowance for a total possible value of approximately $2,500 over four years; awarded for general proficiency, including English and French. The scholarships include tuition allowance of $500 per year which is renewable with an annual grade point average of at least 3.50 on a course load of 4 full credit equivalents (FCEs) from September to September.

Gift of graduates of University College and other friends of the late Professor Malcolm Wallace, former principal of University College and head of the Department of English The award has a value of approximately $2,000 cash with a total possible value of $4,000, for excellence in any subjects or for general proficiency. The scholarships include tuition allowance of $500 per year which is renewable with an annual grade point average of at least 3.50 on a course load of 4 full course equivalents (FCEs) from September to September.

Fletcher-Clark OSOTF Scholarships in Science and/or Economics (Admission)

Gift of Edmund Clark (UC 1969) and Frances (Fletcher) Clark (UC 1969).  To assist University College students with financial need who have excellent academic results in the sciences or in economics.  (Variable in number and value.)  At least one award will be given out upon admission. In accord with the requirements of the OSOTF program, the primary criterion will be financial need.

Cody and Florence Louisa Cody. The value is approximately $500 plus the tuition allowance for a total possible value of approximately $2,500 over four years; awarded for general proficiency, to a student from a school outside the Greater Toronto Area. The scholarships include tuition allowance of $500 per year which is renewable with an annual grade point average of at least 3.50 on a course load of 4 full credit equivalents (FCEs) from September to September.

George Roderick Fraser Scholarships for Mathematical Studies

Bequest of Verna Pearl Fraser in memory of her late husband, George Roderick Fraser (UC 1928). For outstanding students entering University College intending to pursue mathematical studies, who come from Ontario schools outside “Metropolitan Toronto”.  The award value is $3,000 and is renewable up to 3 times for a total possible value of $12,000. The scholarships are renewable provided students achieve an annual grade point average of at least 3.50 on a course load of 4 full credit equivalents (FCEs) from September to September.
