The Health Studies Alumni Project

The Health Studies Alumni Project aims to connect HST Alumni and support current HST undergraduates through a series of endeavours.

Would you like to connect with other HST Alumni?

Would you like to contribute the growth of, and opportunities for, our current undergraduate students?

Would you like to receive the HST newsletter to know what HST students are up to? Our newsletter is sent out every other Tuesday from September - March.  Starting September 2024 we hope to add an Alumni Feature article.

The Alumni Project is a developing endeavour to connect HST graduates and develop Alum-led opportunities for current undergraduates such as workshops, information panels, mentor-mentee pairings.

HST career panel 2024

Each year we host a Career Panel made up of HST alumni.  This is typically a 2-hr, moderated, hybrid event in which HST alumni of diverse interests and careers speak about their career paths to their current work.

If you would like to be part of a future career panel please contact us.

workshop

Do you have an expertise that you would like to share with current HST undergraduates?

Would you like to host a workshop? -- a "how-to" for current students?...if only they knew what you know.

We hope to run one-hour in-person, online, or hybrid workshops throughout the Sept-April academic calendar.  Our goal would be to have ~2 in the Fall and ~2 in the Winter semester.

Please contact us to suggest a topic you would be interested in leading.

mentor outreach

Would you like to support our current undergraduates in enhancing their potential for professional performance and development?

We are looking for HST alumni to become mentors for current undergraduates for the 2024-25 academic year.  One mentor would be grouped with ~3-4 mentees and online meetings would be held 2x in the Fall and 2x in the Winter semesters.  The meetings are intended to foster conversations around personal and professional objectives for mentees where mentors may provide constructive feedback, goal-setting, and act as a sounding board.

Please contact us to learn about opportunities for the 2024-25 academic year.
