The 2022 UC Writing Awards Are Now Open for Submission

If you are a UC student or are registered in a UC major or minor program, you may now enter one of UC's writing competitions. Course instructors may also nominate students for an award.

You may enter in any of the following categories:

  • Academic essay
  • Public Writing
  • Short Story
  • Poetry
  • Drama
  • Other Prose

The entry deadline to enter is May 1, 2022. Find out more or make a submission online.

Note: there are a number of changes to the awards starting this year. Please read the guidelines carefully.
