The Sally Croll Award for French Study Abroad is a travelling award established by the daughters and friends of Mrs. Sally Croll to honour her lifelong interest in French. The purpose of the award is to allow University College students studying French or knowledgeable in French to go abroad to immerse themselves in a French milieu while pursuing their academic interests. The criteria will be academic merit, financial need, and the merit of the proposal. The award is open to both undergraduates and graduates of University College. It may be used in conjunction with the exchange programs through the Centre for International Experience, as well as Summer Abroad Programs.

The Scott-Thomas Memorial Graduate Scholarship is the bequest of the late Lois Margaret Scott-Thomas and is intended to assist university graduates to pursue studies in the field of English literature at graduate schools within or outside Canada. (Preference given to graduates of University College and also to overseas students who enrol in the School of Graduate Studies at the University of Toronto.)

Gift of graduates of University College and other friends of the late Professor Malcolm Wallace, former principal of University College and head of the Department of English. The award has a value of approximately $2,000 cash with a total possible value of $4,000, for excellence in any subject or for general proficiency. Awarded to a student intending to specialize in English.
The scholarships include tuition allowance of $500 per year which is renewable with an annual grade point average of at least 3.50 on a course load of 4 full course equivalents (FCEs) from September to September.
