JHU473 Environmental Crises, Human Mobility, and Health

Description:  Multiple environmental crises – climate change, environmental degradation, loss of biodiversity, resource depletion – are already affecting every inhabited region of the globe, impacting human health in direct, indirect, and systemic ways. At the systemic level, they act as risk multipliers, compounding the effects of pre-existing social and political determinants of health, including human mobility. This course discusses the interactions between environmental crises and human mobility, and their impact on human health.
