Introducing Ange Loft, UC's 2023-24 Barker Fairley Distinguished Visitor

University College is delighted to announce that Ange Loft will be the 2023-2024 Barker Fairley Distinguished Visitor. Ange is Kanien'kehá:ka from Kahnawà:ke (QC). She is an interdisciplinary performing artist whose collaborations use arts-based research, voice, wearable sculpture, theatrical co-creation and Haudenosaunee history to facilitate workshops and community-engaged spectacle. As a performer, Ange has graced international stages with musical act Yamantaka//Sonic Titan and as an interpreter of Indigenous lead theatrical narrative, experimental composition and performance. She is also the lead artist of the Talking Treaties initiative with Jumblies Theatre + Arts (2017-23). Please join us in welcoming Ange to the University College community in the 2023-2024 academic year!
