Professor Lorne Tepperman's Latest Book Looks at Consumer Culture

Lorne Tepperman, a University College faculty member and professor of sociology, published Consumer Society (Rock’s Mills Press, 2020).

The book explores buying as a social behaviour, consumer culture, consumerist ideology, and the marketing and advertising industry and its efforts to revise consumerism in the face of globalization, protest, and environmental destruction.
