UC Advancement Team Recognized with Three Awards from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education
Congratulations to the UC Advancement team, who were honoured with three awards from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.
UC Perspectives on COVID-19, a special digital publication that documents the UC community’s response to the pandemic, was honoured with a silver award in the publications pivot category. The judges said: "We appreciated the breadth and scope of the impact of COVID-19 to the institution, including a look at the social justice-related impacts in addition to health, safety, and academics."
The virtual event “Have Your Cake and Eat It, Too,” which brought UC alumni together online to bake a treat in the comfort of their own homes in the early days of the pandemic, received a silver in the special events pivot category.
Finally, the team received a silver in the donor relations and stewardship category for a publication that follows former scholarship recipients to show the impact of donations on their lives and careers. The judges commented: "If I was a donor, I would be overwhelmed by how many lives my donation had touched, and the number of careers that I had a part in starting."
