UC Staff Member Jordan MacQuarrie Honoured with True Blue Award

Jordan MacQuarrie, UC’s Assistant to the Dean of Students, Administration,has been recognized with a True Blue Award for outstanding service in residence life. MacQuarrie was nominated by UC Principal Markus Stock for his behind-the-scenes efforts in the early days of the pandemic.

In the citation, Principal Stock wrote, “I would like to express my gratitude for your taking on in such an expert manner the task of supporting UC students in their difficult decision-making processes, managing withdrawals from residence, and supporting those students who will be staying with us for the time being. I was very impressed to witness your unflappable calmness and kindness…”

The True Blue Award is a monthly program that highlights the practices of exemplary faculty, librarians, and staff who make invaluable contributions to the University. Of the honour, MacQuarrie says, “I am so grateful that U of T creates a community of recognition. I am thankful to be given this award and would like to acknowledge the hard work across the College and by all U of T employees this year. It has been a journey of adaption and resiliency, a challenge everyone rose to professionally and quickly.”
