UC Student Reclaims Parking Spot for Urban Redesign

Willow Cabral, a second-year UC student in human geography, geographic information systems (GIS) and urban studies, marked the global day for public use of city streets with a guerilla installation just north of campus. Along with fellow students, she reclaimed a parking spot along Bloor Street West by bringing in sod, seating, and umbrellas to spark dialogue about urban redesign among passersby.
