The Allan Coatsworth Memorial Scholarship was created by Klaus Goldschlag (UC 1944) in honour of Allan Coatsworth, whose ecumenical benevolence assisted young Jewish Torontonians before and during the Second World War. It is awarded annually to students in University College who have achieved high standing in one or more of the following areas of study: history, philosophy and languages. The primary criterion for the award is financial need. Awards have a value of $500 and are variable in number.

These awards are intended to assist students who have been involved with the Art Museum at the University of Toronto. Students must demonstrate financial need in order to be eligible. Graduate and undergraduate students are eligible with preference to students who have some affiliation with University College. The University College Registrar will consult with the Director of the Art Museum before selecting recipients.

Established by Marguerite Ruth Dow (UC'49) in memory of her mother Beatrice Bott Dow (1890-1974). To be awarded to a University College student enrolled in English Literature who has demonstrated financial need. Academic standing will also be considered.

Provided under the will of the late Mrs. Bessie Griffith Cosens, a graduate of University College in the year 1924, and supplemented by her husband, Mr. Gordon Cosens. To be awarded to a woman student of University College in any course, and in any year, who is most deserving of financial assistance.

Created by Shanley Lee (BCom 1981 UC) in honour of his parents, Bing and Jane Lee, who exemplified humility, curiosity, and scholarship during their lives. The award covers a year's tuition* for one UC student per year based on outstanding leadership contributions to the University College and the University of Toronto community. Preference will be given to a student with both peer mentoring experience and high academic achievement. Financial need may also be considered. Recipient must register in full-time studies in the subsequent Fall/Winter session.

These awards are open to all undergraduate students who are enrolled in a specialist or major program in Sexual Diversity Studies and who can demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated leadership in or commitment to LGBTQ advocacy. Additional preference for Black students and/or those doing work to reduce Anti-Black Racism. Applications for these awards must be submitted to the Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies. The Director of the Centre will then recommend possible recipients for the awards to the University College Registrar.

Established in memory of Carman B. Guild (UC 1947), an active member of the University College Literary and Athletic Society, the Students’ Administrative Council, the College of Electors, the University of Toronto Alumni Association, the University College Alumni Association and many Hart House clubs and committees. To be awarded in-course to University College students who demonstrate outstanding leadership, energy and enthusiasm in extracurricular activities at the college and/or the university. Awards will vary in number and value.

This award has been established by the estate of Marjorie Moore (UC 1947) to provide grants for University College students to assist with travel and living abroad for periods of up to one year. Students from the fields of art, archaeology, classics, history and modern languages will be eligible. Such students may be at any level of study. Special consideration will be given to students for whom a period abroad is important and an integral part of their education. Awards will vary in number and value.
