Gift of the late John Macdonald. Awarded to a University College student with excellent performance in Philosophy.

Gift of the late Julius Rossin; scholarship of the value of the annual income from the fund. 

Established in honour of Kathleen Davis and William G. Davis (UC 1951), premier of the province of Ontario 1971-85, upon the occasion of his retirement as premier. In awarding the two scholarships preference will be given to students enrolled in a program in political science, the former premier’s main area of interest.

Gift of the late F.C.A. Jeanneret (UC 1912), formerly principal of University College and chancellor of the University, and the late Mrs. Jeanneret, in memory of their son, Kenneth Geikie Jeanneret, (UC 1939), who was killed in action in February 1945. The scholarship will be awarded where there may be special need for an award.

For students enrolled in the Health Studies Programs at University College. Awarded to a student with financial need; recipients must satisfy the eligibility requirements of the OTSS program.

To be awarded to students in Sexual Diversity Studies based on the recommendation of the Program’s Director; preference will be given to a student with high academic performance. Open to students from any College.

Awarded to a student with financial need in Sexual Diversity Studies based on the recommendation of the Program’s Director; preference will be given to a student with high academic performance. Recipients must satisfy the eligibility requirements of the OSOTF II / OTSS program. 

Recipients will be chosen by the Sexual Diversity Studies Awards Committee in consultation with the UC Registrar. Awards shall be distributed to undergraduate and/or graduate student(s) who identify as LGBTQ or pursuing studies with a focus in sexual diversity at the University of Toronto. Decisions are at the discretion of the SDS Awards Committee and may be awarded to students for a variety of reasons including:  merit based scholarships; unforeseen education expenses; needs based bursaries; leadership and research awards; or other student aid needs as determined by the Committee. Scholarships and awards will be given to students without regard to students’ college membership, faculty or campus.

Gift of Mrs. Elizabeth Schwartz in memory of her late husband; prize of the value of the annual income.

To recognize and encourage outstanding academic performance in science, social sciences and humanities at University College.  Awarded to students finishing their first, second, third, or fourth year of study. Awards vary in value and number.
