Gift of Bob Rae (UC '69) and Arlene Perly Rae (UC '71) in honour of Mr. Rae's parents. To be awarded to University College students, financial need will be the primary criterion in selecting the recipients. Service to the community and academic merit may also be considered. The Sally Croll Award for French Study Abroad is a travelling award established by the daughters and friends of Mrs. Sally Croll to honour her lifelong interest in French. The purpose of the award is to allow University College students studying French or knowledgeable in French to go abroad to immerse themselves in a French milieu while pursuing their academic interests. The criteria will be academic merit, financial need, and the merit of the proposal. The award is open to both undergraduates and graduates of University College. It may be used in conjunction with the exchange programs through the Centre for International Experience, as well as Summer Abroad Programs.

The Sydney Hermant Admission Scholarship/Bursary is to be awarded to a student who combines academic potential and financial need with community interest and social involvement as demonstrated at the high school level. This scholarship, given in honour of Sydney Hermant by his four sons, is to provide support of an all-round student in the first year of University study. The selection of such a student to be at the sole discretion of the Principal of University College.
