Gift of Bob Rae (UC '69) and Arlene Perly Rae (UC '71) in honour of Mr. Rae's parents. To be awarded to University College students, financial need will be the primary criterion in selecting the recipients. Bequest of the late Colonel R.W. Leonard, each of the value of $500. One gives preference to the humanities, one to the social sciences, one to the physical sciences and one is open. (Four scholarships offered in each of first, second, third and fourth years.)

Bequest of the late Colonel R.W. Leonard, to a student of University College in any year, enrolled in at least one full course equivalent in Canadian Studies. Preference will be given to a student enrolled in the specialist program in Canadian Studies.

Bequest of the late Colonel R.W. Leonard to a full-time student of the University College in any year who is enrolled in the drama program.

To be awarded to students registered at University College on the basis of financial need. Eligible candidates are identified through the University's UTAPS program.

The Sally Croll Award for French Study Abroad is a travelling award established by the daughters and friends of Mrs. Sally Croll to honour her lifelong interest in French. The purpose of the award is to allow University College students studying French or knowledgeable in French to go abroad to immerse themselves in a French milieu while pursuing their academic interests. The criteria will be academic merit, financial need, and the merit of the proposal. The award is open to both undergraduates and graduates of University College. It may be used in conjunction with the exchange programs through the Centre for International Experience, as well as Summer Abroad Programs. 

Bequest of the late Samuel Joseph Granatstein (UC 1927), of the value of the annual income from the fund. To be awarded for general proficiency in first year.

A bequest of the late Shirley L. Muir (UC 1923), the value of this scholarship is the annual income from the fund. It is for a student with high standing and financial need. Apply using the online grant application available on ACORN.

Endowed by the late Professor Squair; prize equals the value of the annual income from the fund to be used for books. 

The Sydney Hermant Admission Scholarship/Bursary is to be awarded to a student who combines academic potential and financial need with community interest and social involvement as demonstrated at the high school level. This scholarship, given in honour of Sydney Hermant by his four sons, is to provide support of an all-round student in the first year of University study. The selection of such a student to be at the sole discretion of the Principal of University College.
