In Course Scholarships
Established by the late Colonel H.J. Grasett, CMG, in memory of his brother, the late G.R. Grasett. It will be awarded to the student ranking highest with Grade A standing in classics, provided that his/her combined marks of the second and third years average 80 per cent. If no candidate qualifies, the scholarship may be awarded to a student of the fourth year who intends to pursue a course of graduate study in the University.

Admission Scholarships
A gift of Mr. Kuldip Neelam, Mr. Satbir Neelam and family in honour of Mrs. Gurdev Kaur Neelam with a value of the annual income of the fund. To be offered on admission, in recognition of service to the community, on the basis of academic merit and financial need.

Financial Need Awards
The Gurston Allen Memorial Bursary is a gift of the Kappa Alumni Association, Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity, in memory of the late Gurston S. Allen (UC 1931). It has a value of the annual income of the fund. It is awarded at full value to a student who is a Canadian citizen on the basis of financial need and good academic standing.

Other Awards
The gift of Harcourt Brown (UC 1925) provides assistance to graduate students, junior (i.e., untenured) faculty members or post-doctoral students for research-related visits to archives, libraries, museums, galleries or other sites essential to the conduct of their research in the humanities and history of ideas. There are no restrictions as to location; the award is intended to facilitate access to documents. Grants are variable according to available funds and need. Preference is given to applicants who have an affiliation with University College.

Graduating Year Awards
The Harold Willett Stewart Memorial Scholarship is from the bequest of the late Edith May Stewart in memory of her brother. The scholarship, of the value of the annual income from the fund, to be awarded to a student of University College in the graduating year for the purpose of pursuing post-graduate studies.

Bequest of the late Henry H. Eckler, (UC 1941); this award is intended for students (all years) of the Hebrew language.

Financial Need Awards
Three awards will be made to University College students who are enrolled in programs from the Department of History, one in each of 2nd, 3rd and 4th years who have a minimum annual GPA of 3.5 and who demonstrate financial need by submitting an undergraduate grant application. Students receiving the award in 2nd and/or 3rd year may be eligible for continuing awards providing they maintain eligibility.

The award is intended to assist deserving University College students with the costs of living in UC residences. Financial need will be the primary criterion in making the award, but service to the community and family circumstances may also be taken into consideration.

To be awarded to students in the Canadian Studies program on the basis of academic merit. Open to students enrolled in the program from any college. Preference given to a student coming from the federal riding of York Centre.
