Student Wellness Supports
University College is committed to creating an atmosphere for students to do and be well within. We prioritize student wellness by offering a range of holistic support services that reflect the multi-faceted and layered identities of our students.
Whether it be opportunities to engage in mindfulness practices, learn about nutrition and sleep hygiene, move in ways that feel good, and connect with others, we’re committed to helping students thrive in all aspects of their lives. Our aim is to ensure that students can access these supports and resources as they see fit, fostering a healthy and balanced university experience.
Supports and Resources at UC
We offer a range of services and resources at University College focused on supporting students through personal and academic challenges, and with their personal wellbeing journey.
Community Wellness at UC
We know the many resources and services within the University can be overwhelming to navigate, and you may not know where to start. UC’s Assistant Dean – Community Wellness, can help you understand and access wellness services best suited to your needs.
The Wellness Skills certificate is available to any University College student interested in learning more about their own wellbeing, gaining skills to help peers in need, and engaging in meaningful conversations around wellness.
By completing the 5 modules required to receive the certificate, students will be equipped with the insight to incorporate wellness into their daily routines and encourage peers to do the same.
To learn more about the UC Wellness Skills Certificate and to begin the modules, please email uc.wellness@utoronto.ca.
The Wellness Ambassador Program is a volunteer-based program, designed to both increase capacity of holistic wellness programs as well as provide leadership opportunities to UC students.
Wellness Ambassadors (WAs) are UC students from any level and any academic program who want to gain experience in event planning, facilitation, communication, and peer-to-peer connection. WAs are interested in supporting wellness initiatives, programming, and being a resource navigator for their peers.
Recruitment for the WA program for the 2024-2025 will begin in September. Please email uc.wellness@utoronto.ca if you have any questions.
