The Founding College of the University of Toronto

Black Canadian Studies Course Returns to UC

Canadian Studies

After a one year hiatus, CDN335 Black Canadian Studies is once again being offered by University College's Canadian Studies program. The course explores the constitution of blackness in Canada and provides students with a deeper understanding of diverse black communities across the nation. Read more about the significance of the course in The Varsity.

While the course is an elective or requirement of the Canadian Studies program, students in History, Caribbean Studies, and Diaspora and Transnational Studies major programs may also take the course as a half-credit towards those programs.
