Financial Need Awards
To be awarded to students registered at University College on the basis of financial need, with a preference for Indigenous students. Eligible candidates are identified through the University's UTAPS program.

Admission Scholarships
Bequest of the late Canon H.J. Cody and Florence Louisa Cody. The value is approximately $500 plus the tuition allowance for a total possible value of approximately $2,500 over four years; awarded for general proficiency, to a student from a school outside the Greater Toronto Area. The scholarships include tuition allowance of $500 per year which is renewable with an annual grade point average of at least 3.50 on a course load of 4 full credit equivalents (FCEs) from September to September.

Writing Awards
UC Writing Centre
Established in 1948 in memory of Professor Frederic Davidson (UC ’90), the Frederic Davidson Competition offers one prize of $2,000, one of $1,000, and one of $500 annually to any undergraduate student registered at UC, or whose submission is linked to work in a UC program or affiliated Centre, for any type of academic essay. Preference will be given to essays on English or French literature.

Graduating Year Awards
The Gail Ferris Sheard Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit to a student who has obtained a grade point average of 3.50 or higher while carrying a course load of three or more credits who has also been accepted to graduate school or one of the professional schools of law or medicine.

These awards celebrate the mathematical theories of, as well as the myth surrounding, the brilliant French mathematician, Evariste Galois (1811-1832). The awards are to recognize the best University College students enrolled in the Mathematics Specialist program.

Admission Scholarships
Bequest of Verna Pearl Fraser in memory of her late husband, George Roderick Fraser (UC 1928). For outstanding students entering University College intending to pursue mathematical studies, who come from Ontario schools outside “Metropolitan Toronto”.  The award value is $3,000 and is renewable up to 3 times for a total possible value of $12,000. The scholarships are renewable provided students achieve an annual grade point average of at least 3.50 on a course load of 4 full credit equivalents (FCEs) from September to September. Students must be enrolled in full-time studies in order to receive a renewal of their scholarship.
