Gift of Bob Rae (UC '69) and Arlene Perly Rae (UC '71) in honour of Mr. Rae's parents. To be awarded to University College students, financial need will be the primary criterion in selecting the recipients. Service to the community and academic merit may also be considered. Apply using the online grant application available on ACORN.

Bequest of the late Colonel R.W. Leonard, each of the value of $500. One gives preference to the humanities, one to the social sciences, one to the physical sciences and one is open. (Four scholarships offered in each of first, second, third and fourth years.)

Bequest of the late Colonel R.W. Leonard, each of the value of $700 cash, with a total possible value of $2,700, for excellence in any subjects or for general proficiency. Of these, six are open to candidates from any schools in the province, and four to candidates from outside the Greater Toronto area. The scholarships include tuition allowance of $500 per year which is renewable with an annual grade point average of at least 3.50 on a course load of 4 full credit equivalents (FCEs) from September to September.

Bequest of the late Colonel R.W. Leonard, to a student of University College in any year, enrolled in at least one full course equivalent in Canadian Studies. Preference will be given to a student enrolled in the specialist program in Canadian Studies.

Bequest of the late Colonel R.W. Leonard to a full-time student of the University College in any year who is enrolled in the drama program.

To be awarded to students registered at University College on the basis of financial need. Eligible candidates are identified through the University's UTAPS program.

Gift of R.O. Daly, QC (UC 1912); to be awarded to the student with the highest mark in FRE240.

Awarded on the basis of financial need to students enrolled in Health Studies or Sexual Diversity Studies Programs. Preference will be given to a 4th year student who has demonstrated academic excellence in gender or addiction issues related to social determinants of health. 

The Sally Croll Award for French Study Abroad is a travelling award established by the daughters and friends of Mrs. Sally Croll to honour her lifelong interest in French. The purpose of the award is to allow University College students studying French or knowledgeable in French to go abroad to immerse themselves in a French milieu while pursuing their academic interests. The criteria will be academic merit, financial need, and the merit of the proposal. The award is open to both undergraduates and graduates of University College. It may be used in conjunction with the exchange programs through the Centre for International Experience, as well as Summer Abroad Programs. 

Bequest of Helen Eunice Stubbs (UC 1933) in memory of her father, Samuel James Stubbs. These awards (variable in number and value) are to assist students in third and fourth Years whose programs of study include courses in classics and/or English.  The basis of the decision will include financial need, professional interest and academic ability.
