The Marlene Kirsch Korman Memorial Scholarship is to be awarded to the most highly qualified student (with at least A standing) graduating from University College with a BSc and entering a professional school or faculty.

Leadership Awards
Gift of friends and colleagues of Mary Jane Hendrie (UC 1981) who died in the Korean Airline incident of 1983. This award is intended for a student with financial need who has contributed to college life by participating in athletics or other extracurricular activities.

For University College students in Majors or Specialists in the humanities including English, Philosophy, History and Classics. May also be awarded on the basis of other criteria such as academic achievement and community involvement. Bequest of the late Miss Catherine S. Michell and Colonel William C. Michell, formerly principal of Riverdale Collegiate Institute. Awards are based on financial need. Academic merit may also be considered. Awards are variable in number and value depending on students’ financial need. Any balance of income may be used for in-course awards of variable value. Gift of various donors in appreciation of Professor Paul Perron’s term as Principal of University College (1997 – 2005). To be awarded to UC students who are enrolled in a minimum course load of 3.0 with a GPA of at least 3.0. Mark S. Bonham Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies
Gifted by the Pride and Remembrance Foundation. Preference to students in the Sexual Diversity Studies (SDS) program. Though preference will be given to students registered in the SDS program, awards may also be given to other lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer students at the University of Toronto. The primary criterion will be financial need in accordance with the requirements of the Ontario Trust for Student Support program (OTSS). Other criteria may also be considered, such as academic achievement or outstanding volunteer contributions on or off campus aimed at increasing acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
