As a smaller program, I love that we have the benefit of being a part of a close-knit community of both students and professors! Our program curriculum is also rather diverse, giving students the freedom and opportunity to learn about the different professional fields within public health.

The Health Studies program has given me the freedom to explore a variety of areas within the field of health. I enjoy the flexibility of the health studies program to do research, find employers through the practicum program, and get to know experts in the field through our courses. In addition, I love how small the health studies program is, in that I know classmates in all of my classes and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved!

I really enjoy being a part of the Health Studies community because of how welcoming and caring everyone is! I also love how the courses range from a variety of topics such as global health to health policy; this allows me to acquire a holistic understanding to all kinds of health issues in Canada and beyond.
