Mark S. Bonham Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies
Established primarily to support students in the Sexual Diversity Studies (SDS) Program. Though preference will be given to students in the SDS Program, awards may also be given to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer students enrolled in other programs at the University of Toronto. Although the primary criterion for selection will be financial need based on the requirements of the OTSS program, the Committee may also consider other factors such as a student’s commitment to academic achievement, outstanding volunteer contributions on or off campus aimed at increasing acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people

Health Studies
For students enrolled in the Health Studies Programs at University College. Awarded to a student with financial need; recipients must satisfy the eligibility requirements of the OTSS program.

To be awarded to students in Sexual Diversity Studies based on the recommendation of the Program’s Director; preference will be given to a student with high academic performance. Open to students from any College.

Mark S. Bonham Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies
Recipients will be chosen by the Sexual Diversity Studies Awards Committee in consultation with the UC Registrar. Awards shall be distributed to undergraduate and/or graduate student(s) who identify as LGBTQ or pursuing studies with a focus in sexual diversity at the University of Toronto. Decisions are at the discretion of the SDS Awards Committee and may be awarded to students for a variety of reasons including:  merit based scholarships; unforeseen education expenses; needs based bursaries; leadership and research awards; or other student aid needs as determined by the Committee. Scholarships and awards will be given to students without regard to students’ college membership, faculty or campus.

Canadian Studies
This scholarship will be awarded to students enrolled in any Canadian Studies program from any college will be eligible for this scholarship which will be awarded to the student with the highest annual grade point average.

Gift of the members and friends of the Rainbow Triangle Association. Awarded to a student in a Sexual Diversity Studies core course on the basis of academic merit and promise excellence in leadership in the LGBTQ community.

  • Enrolled in UC

Health Studies
Awarded on the basis of financial need to students enrolled in Health Studies or Sexual Diversity Studies Programs. Preference will be given to a 4th year student who has demonstrated academic excellence in gender or addiction issues related to social determinants of health.

Awards will be given annually to one or more students who have demonstrated activity, leadership or advocacy in LGBTQ human rights issues in Canada or abroad, with preference to Black or Indigenous students.
