Community Coordinators
If you don't live in residence, your community coordinators can be your first point of support. They facilitate activities, events and programs to develop a strong sense of community for Off-Campus Students.
They manage off-campus spaces such as the Commuter Student Centre, and the Clark Reading Room!
What do they do?
Community Coordinators (CoCo) support and facilitate your community engagement at University College. They help orient new students to university life and provide social opportunities through events and programs for all Off-Campus students. They can also connect you with personal, academic, financial or other resources to support your undergraduate journey.
They are available for 1:1 conversations and oversee locker rentals and other activities in the Commuter Student Centre (CSC), and the Clark reading Room.
When to meet with your CoCo:
- If you want one-on-one peer support and advice on personal, academic, financial or other matters;
- To participate in engaging programs and meet new people;
- To learn how to get involved in the UC community.

2024-2025 Community Coordinators
Hi, I’m Kiara! I’m a fourth-year in Rotman Commerce, specializing in Management with Focuses in Finance and Strategy.
This is my second year as a CoCo and I’m super excited to meet all of you at events or in the CSC. I’ve lived both in residence and off-campus so I’m always available for advice with campus resources or with just living in the city. If you see me around, please come up to talk about your favourite new music, reality TV or literally anything else.
Hi! My name is Sima and I’m really excited to start my third year as a CoCo. We have a great community here and I love being part of it. I’ve just started my first year of my master's program and I spend my free time baking, watching TV, and drinking tea. If you have any questions about student life, things to do downtown, I’m happy to help. I look forward to meeting you all!
Hi everyone! My name is Ilil and I am a 3rd year double majoring in Psychology and Peace, Conflict & Justice and minoring in English. I’m always happy to chat about anything, but especially love discussing books, movies, or cute cafes in the city. I genuinely love meeting and talking to new people so if you have ideas for events you’d like to see, questions about anything U of T related, or you’d just like to talk, please feel free to approach me :). My obsessions include Hozier, orange cats, and making unnecessarily complicated spreadsheets for camping trips.
Hi, my name is Charlize and I use she/her pronouns. I'm in my second-year majoring in English with a double minor in Caribbean Studies and Philosophy. I have experience living in residence, as well as commuting as I was born and raised in Toronto. I am super into physical music (burning my own CD's + collecting records), reading, crocheting, baking, and lifting. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or just want to chat! Talk to me about anything (I will always have something to say)! I am super excited to be a CoCo this year and connect with UC student life.
In the words of Obi Wan Kenobi, "Hello, there!"
My name is Iman and I am one of UC's CoCos this year. I'm currently a first year in the Master of Teaching program at OISE and completed my undergrad recently from UofT as well. I have countless hobbies and am always looking for more things to add to my roster. If you ever want to chat, I would love to provide you with aid and resources or talk about what interests you so that I can steal your ideas! Jokes aside, I love gaming, reading, crocheting, film, etc. You might find me playing a game of Mario Kart in the CSC during my office hours, so feel free to drop by and geek out with me!
Hi everyone! My name is Esther, and I'm in my third-year double majoring in Psychology and Health Studies. I enjoy creating fun events and hope to build a friendly environment for commuter students. I like painting, visiting museums and cafes, going to concerts, and watching rom coms. My favorite seasons are summer and fall. Feel free to reach out through email or at the CSC, I'm always open to have a chat!
Hi there! I’m Bell. I’m thrilled to be one of your CoCos this year! I’m in my second year, studying Financial Economics and Cognitive Science, and I’d love to chat about any questions you might have about those programs. Having experienced both residence life and commuting, I’m happy to share tips or offer any advice you may need. Whether you have uni questions or just want to say hi, don’t hesitate to reach out. I will be looking forward to meeting you!
