For students enrolled in the Health Studies Programs at University College. Awarded to a student with financial need; recipients must satisfy the eligibility requirements of the OTSS program.

Bursary fund open to undergraduate students at University College who are entering or continuing studies in political science and/or economics. The recipients of the bursaries will be selected based on the demonstration of financial need. These bursaries are a gift from the students and alumni of University College in honour of former principal D.V. LePan and former registrar R.M.H. Shepherd. The value of the bursaries is based on the annual income of the fund. Apply using the online grant application available on ACORN.

To award one or more bursaries, with a preference to UC students in an English program from the estates of Minnie White and her sister Lillian Lerenbaum (UC’31) in memory of Lillian Lerenbaum’s daughter Miriam. Eligible students are automatically considered.

To be awarded to students in Sexual Diversity Studies based on the recommendation of the Program’s Director; preference will be given to a student with high academic performance. Open to students from any College.

Awarded to a student with financial need in Sexual Diversity Studies based on the recommendation of the Program’s Director; preference will be given to a student with high academic performance. Recipients must satisfy the eligibility requirements of the OSOTF II / OTSS program. 

Recipients will be chosen by the Sexual Diversity Studies Awards Committee in consultation with the UC Registrar. Awards shall be distributed to undergraduate and/or graduate student(s) who identify as LGBTQ or pursuing studies with a focus in sexual diversity at the University of Toronto. Decisions are at the discretion of the SDS Awards Committee and may be awarded to students for a variety of reasons including:  merit based scholarships; unforeseen education expenses; needs based bursaries; leadership and research awards; or other student aid needs as determined by the Committee. Scholarships and awards will be given to students without regard to students’ college membership, faculty or campus.

The awards are to assist students studying in the humanities, preferably in the various branches of classical or modern European literatures, fine art, music or philosophy. Financial need will be the primary criterion in selecting recipients. Academic merit may also be considered.
